Circumpolar Innovation Meeting, Bodø April 4th 2017

The University of the Arctic’s Thematic Network on the Commercialization of Science and Technology for the North will be holding its third meeting in Bodø, Norway, on April 4th 2017, in conjunction with the High North Dialogue, organized by Nord University.  Our last meeting, held in Whitehorse in November 2015, was a great success. Papers from this meeting will be released later in 2017 in a special issue in The Northern Review.

 

We are inviting representatives from across the Circumpolar world, including stakeholders from postsecondary institutions, government, community organizations, research institutes and the private sector, to discuss the following topics:

  • The state of northern science and technology economic, cultural and social innovations;
  • The relationship between research institutes, universities, colleges, and government agencies in promoting scientific and technological innovations in northern regions;
  • Public and community attitudes toward scientific and technological innovation in northern regions;
